Parent Partners - For first-time parents (and women who are expecting to give birth for the first time)- we can visit you at your home once or more per month and give you information on your child's development, show you new ways to play with your baby, answer your parenting questions, and provide nutritional and developmental screenings and once-a-month group sessions.  Our Parent Partners are experienced parents and they are easy to talk to.  We use the nationally-recognized Parents As Teachers curriculum that is proven to help parents be the best they can be. There are no income guidelines for this program - all you have to be is a first-time parent or pregnant with your first child. Early Head Start - This is the "Cadillac" home visitation program offering weekly visits to assist parents to maximize infants and toddler's development.  The program provides child development, parenting information and support.. nutrition, health, and extensive social components to parents or women who are pregnant.  You and your child will be able to visit the Infant/Toddler center that is filled with the best toys including an infant and toddler sized indoor playground, sand and water tables, toddler-sized kitchens, trucks....it's all there for your child. There are income guidelines; please contact to see if you are eligible.  There are no income guidelines for children with disabilities.  Click here to contact the Early Head Start Program.

Head Start - Once your toddler turns age 3, the pre-school Head Start can offer either center-based (your child comes to our Head Start center either half-day or full day), home-based (like Early Head Start above, but geared to 3 and 4 year olds), or at a licensed child care home or center that provides Head Start services.  We have Head Start classrooms in many towns:  South Paris, Norway, Oxford, Rumford, West Bethel and Fryeburg.  There are income guidelines; please contact to see if you are eligible.  There are no income guidelines for children with disabilities.  Click here to contact the Head Start Program.
